Target Audience: Owners, Program Directors, Instructional Coaches, Lead Teachers, and All ECE Staff, Families, Community Centers, Sports Facilities, Play-Based Learning Centers
Outcome: Teachers and staff will be exposed to the overall importance of big body play. Through a general overview, teachers will learn about what it means, how this type of play impacts the growth of children, and how to implement this play within the classroom. Most importantly, teams will learn how to utilize these play strategies to support challenging behaviors. Additionally, due to the sensitivity and physical nature of this type of play, staff will learn how to reassure families, other staff, and the community of this play's benefits and become advocates for its use in early childhood settings.
